Description
The QS 205 V3MD BLDC out-runner motor (4T) delivers impressive torque, making it an excellent choice for high-performance applications. This motor is perfectly compatible with Q76, Q80 and Q155 frame kits (versions with hub-motor swing arm) . It’s completely silent in operation, offering a highly responsive feel between the throttle and rear wheel. Perfect for wheelies, this motor is built for fun and control. For improved heat dissipation, we recommend using cooling Ferro-fluid and additional cooling fins.

Important notice:
The motor is equipped with KTY83/122 temperature sensor and needs to be protected from over temperature (limit range: 130‐140°C). We strongly advise to us display (CA3 for ex.) or controller (Fardriver) to regulate the motor power. Not protecting the motor from over‐temperature voids the warranty!
The motor’s power cable is equipped with the M6 lug phase connectors and 6-pin water tight Hall connectors (motor has two sets of Hall sensors). You will have to install the motor, connect cables, install seal, secure cable with zip ties and tighten all nuts and bolts. We recommend to replace the M6 lug phase connectors with Amass XT150 connector set for fast and easy assembly.
Performance – speed:
Since the motor is in-wheel, the final speed depends on the tyre rolling circumference, voltage and controller (if it has field weakening feature).
72 volt platform: 4T motor can spin up to 820 rpm@72V. With 1,4-1,5 field weakening factor speed increase) which is possible with Fardriver ND or Sabvoton SVMC controllers, the motor can spin up to 1100 rpm (72V), which translates to vehicle speed of over 110 km/h on a 16’’ Mitas Touring Force SC 110/70-16 tyre.
48 volt platform: 4T motor can spin up to 530 rpm@48V. With 1,4-1,5 field weakening factor speed increase) which is possible with Fardriver ND or Sabvoton SVMC controllers, the motor can spin up to 740 rpm (48V), which translates to vehicle speed of around 75 km/h on a 16’’ Mitas Touring Force SC 110/70-16 tyre. On a 19’’ SHINKO SR244 or Mitas Terra Force 70/100-19 the speed would be 85 km/h.
