Description

The ZOOM HB-890E hydraulic 4-piston rear disc brake, equipped with a 2-finger (left) brake lever and a 2100 mm long hydraulic tube, is specifically designed for 40-65 kg performance electric bikes. Engineered with a focus on stopping power and durability, this brake system ensures reliable performance. When paired with a 2.3 – 2.4 mm thick, 203 mm diameter rotor, it provides smooth and consistent braking, eliminates squeaking noises, and offers excellent fade resistance. The mineral oil reservoir features a high capacity and an easy-to-read inspection window, minimising the need for frequent air bleeding. The brake lever position can be easily adjusted by turning the adjuster bolt. A 2 mm Allen key is required for this adjustment.

The brake is equipped with a REED-type switch that detects when the brake is activated (the switch engages when the lever is pulled). The activation point of the switch is adjustable, allowing you to fine-tune exactly when the switch is triggered.

Replacing the brake pads is quick and straightforward. Using a 3mm Allen key, you can easily remove the bolt securing the pads in place for hassle-free maintenance.

The brake is compatible with any 22.2 mm handlebar. The standard mounting position for the rear brake is on the left side of the handlebar, following the traditional motorbike setup. The kit includes a tube for additional protection against stones.
