The Q140MD swing arm is designed for performance and simplicity. Its pivot point aligns with the motor’s chain wheel, keeping chain tension constant during suspension movement—no need for extra chain guides or tensioners.
With the motor axle doubling as the swing arm pivot, there are fewer parts, less weight, and lower maintenance. Made from high-strength Cr-Mo steel, it handles the torque of the QS V3MD motor with ease, ensuring a stable, quiet, and reliable ride on any terrain.
The controller is mounted high in the front of the frame, a position chosen for optimal airflow and protection from debris. The external setup not only improves cooling but also allows for quick swaps and compatibility with a range of controller types.
The frame features a standardised mounting position designed to accommodate a controller bracket. Each controller type has its own bracket, ensuring a sleek appearance and a secure connection to the frame.
For maximum performance we recommend Fardriver controlers.
We have eliminated the vulnerability of external ports. The charging port is integrated directly into the battery pack, hidden securely within the frame.
Integrated Port: No exposed connectors to get damaged or tampered with.
Locked Charging: The top-loading hood can be lowered and locked while the bike is charging. This allows the cable to exit the frame through a secure gap, making it safe to charge in public spaces without risk to the battery.

Locked Compartment: The battery, wiring harness, and ignition are all housed inside the lockable main shell.
Proprietary Safety Nut System: Side plates feature a unique security design. If an unauthorized person tries to unscrew the external bolts, the internal nuts spin freely. The plates can only be removed by accessing the locked interior.
Steering Lock: For an added layer of physical security, an optional handlebar pin-lock disables steering movement entirely, making the bike impossible to wheel away.

The "Hub-to-Mid" Conversion: You can use a standard QS205V3 hub motor from your existing bike. Simply remove the rim and spokes, and install the motor into the Q140MD frame using our specialized Mounting Kit (sold separately).

Unlike hub motors, where you are stuck with a specific winding count (RPM), the Q140MD allows you to tune your speed and torque via gearing. By simply swapping inexpensive chainwheels (available in the Qulbix store), you can optimize your bike for high-speed road cruising or extreme hill-climbing torque. This is a much more cost-effective solution than buying a new motor.

Yes. By installing a PAS (Pedal Assist System) and a controller with multiple power profiles, you can mimic true pedelec behavior. By setting a "low power" mode with a 25 km/h speed limit, you can ride responsibly in areas where mountain biking is permitted without aggressive wheel spinning or disturbing the natural environment. When you reach a dedicated track, you can simply switch profiles to unlock the full power potential of the motor.
Retaining the pedals offers two major advantages:
