Q: What is VAT and to whom does it apply?

The VAT stands for Value Added Tax, a tax on consumer spending. It applies to all EU member states customers in the amount of 22% (Slovenian VAT law (ZDDV-1)) of the good's value. Your quotation will include VAT if you are a resident of a European Member State. Read more on pricing and other costs in our HOW TO ORDER tab.

Examples: VAT will not be charged if you come from Switzerland, Norway, US, Australia, etc.; VAT will be charged if you come from Italy, Austria, Spain, UK, Germany, France, Sweden etc.

Q: My company is VAT registered in one of the EU member states. Does VAT apply?

If you provide your valid VAT number, VAT will not be charged (VAT reverse charge in accordance with paragraph 23. of Slovenian VAT law and article 41 of VAT Directive).

Q: Are there any other costs and fees?

If you are a citizen of a European Member State your quotation will include VAT and (unless otherwise specified in your quote) shipping cost. There are no other costs or taxes. If you reside in a state outside EU, VAT does not apply and it will not be included in your quotation. In this case Qulbix will not charge for any additional costs except shipping. You should, however contact your country's customs office for possible import charges and/or fees. Read more in our HOW TO ORDER tab.

Q: What does DIY mean and how does it apply?

DIY as used on this website is an abbreviation for do-it-yourself. It means that when purchasing Qulbix products you will need at least (depending on the chosen product) basic mechanical knowledge and basic bicycle tools, to build your end product. Qulbix products (usually) do not come fully assembled.

Examples: 

DIY FRAME KIT: a performance electric bicycle frame and its parts (see individual products for details), that are shipped disassembled and are used to build performance electric bikes.
DIY BIKE KIT: a performance electric bicycle (all or just particular parts; depending on order specifications), that is (or are) shipped disassembled (degree of assembly depends on order specifications) and are used to build a performance electric bike.

Q: Do I need any technical knowledge and special tools to build and/or use Qulbix products?

You will need at least basic mechanical skills and tools to build and use Qulbix products. Especially electrical equipment/components should be handled with care and according to manuals. If you feel you don't have the sufficient knowledge or the appropriate tools needed, you should let a skilled professional build and service your e-bike or other DIY products. When using performance e-bikes you should always read and act according to provided manuals and ride taking care of yourself and others.

Q: My shipment has arrived damaged. What should I do?

If you have received a damaged parcel or if the products inside are damaged in any way, please provide detailed photos depicting the damaged package and/or products and email them to: info(at)qulbix.com as soon as possible. 

PLEASE NOTE: After the period of 7 days, Qulbix does not except complaints on the grounds of missing parts or damaged products. Used products cannot be replaced or reimbursed on the grounds of being damaged.

Q: What are the prices of your e-bikes (bike kits)? 

The price of your chosen e-bike will be provided in your quote, as soon as you decide on all the specifications.

As battery packs are considered dangerous goods and as some countries (outside EU) may not allow battery import or they may temporary restrict it, you need to send your specifications (you can design them in a quote by filling out the form above this tab) to info(at)qulbix.com, and we will check if the bike can be shipped to your country and at what shipping cost.

Q: What is the shipping cost for the bike kits?

Shipping cost differs by country. Please send us an email to info(at)qulbix.com and we will calculate an exact cost for you. You can also come and pick up your products at Qulbix HQ to avoid shipping cost altogether.

Q: How soon after payment will I receive my e-bike (bike kit)?

As soon as the payment is completed, your order is placed. It typically takes 4-6 weeks for production, depending on the current order list. The actual transit times vary by destination, but by average shipping takes 2 - 8 work days inside Europe, and 3-16 work days for other countries.

Q: How does my bike kit come delivered?

You will receive your complete e-bike kit in 2-3 boxes (depending on the seat option and other add-ons chosen). Before you start assembling your bike, we suggest you thoroughly read the Owner Manual which you’ll receive via email. If you do not have the skills, tools or the room to assemble your bike we suggest you take your kit (and instructions) to your (good) local bike shop or order a complete e-bike and come and pick it up at Qulbix headquarters.

Q: Why does the bike come disassembled?

Your e-bike comes pre-set and pre-wired as a kit because this way will you’ll save at least half the money on shipping, but usually much more. You can choose the degree to which your e-bike kit comes assembled (for more info on Assembly Stages see How to configure your perfect e-bike tab).

Q: Does my e-bike kit come with a warranty?

Of course. You will find more info on warranty, legal notice, return policy etc. in the footer menu, at "Information" tab, at the bottom of the website.

Q: How long does the warranty last?

Typically there is a one year warranty on battery, electronics, drive train, brakes, suspension and the crank set, and two year warranty on the frame.

Q: I bought my bike kit (Q140R or Q76R) with standard bicycle seat. But now I think I would prefer a moto seat. What should I do?

The beauty of your e-bike is that is modular in nature. All you need to do is to buy the Moto Seat and Subframe Set (that you'll find in the PRODUCTS tab), dismount your bicycle seat and subframe, and mount the new seat on. You can replace the moto seat with the bicycle one again anytime later on.

Q: I bought my Q140R with pedals. But now I think I would prefer a motocross bike. What can I do?

The beauty of your Q140R is that is modular in nature. All you need to do is to buy the Foot Pegs Set and the Moto Seat and Subframe Set (that you'll find in the PRODUCTS tab) and you'll be able to transform your e-bicycle to e-motocross bike.

Q: I got bored of my e-bike's decal color. Can I get another color?

Sure. Most parts of your e-bikes are available individually. Go ahead and browse in our PRODUCTS tab, or send us an email.

Q: I have taken a tumble and ripped my moto seat. Can I replace it?

Sure. Most parts of your e-bike are available individually. Go ahead and browse in our PRODUCTS tab, or send us an email.

Q: I would like to buy an extra battery pack. Can I get one?

Sure. We do sell battery pack as spare parts. Please note that battery packs can only be sent to some countries. Send us an email to info(at)qulbix.com, and we'll tell you more.

Q: How do I order my e-bike (bike kit)?

Step #1: Choose the specifications of your e-bike kit

Go to: Products/E-bikes/Q76R and select among available options for the battery pack, controller, display, seat and footing options, tire and more. If you need help deciding, see the How to configure your perfect e-bike tab.

Step #2: Create a quote

Once you have chosen the options you want for your bike click ADD TO QUOTE. This will create a quote, see an example below:

Step #3: Send your self the quote you've created

If you'd like to change the quote, click the the item, and update the quote. If you're satisfied with the created quote, click the QUOTE FORM. Fill out the form, and the quote that you've created will be sent to your email.

Step #4: Review and think

Carefully check out your quote. If this is the e-bike you wish to ride, forward your quote to us, to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and we will calculate the shipping cost and possible VAT.

Step #5: Order your dream performance e-bike

You will receive a detailed quotation. As the payment is made, your order is placed. The production time is typically 4-6 weeks depending on the current order list. As your bike is shipped you will receive the tracking number, with which you’ll be able to track the progress of your package.

Q: What payment options are there?

There are three payment options:

1. 100% BANK TRANSFER ADVANCE PAYMENT – you purchase your bike kit by using payment info which you will find in the top right corner of your quotation.
2. 100% PAYPAL ADVANCE PAYMENT – we will send you a PayPal payment request according to sales quote, containing all payment instructions. Please note that when paying with PayPal a 4% fee applies.
3. 60% ADVANCE PAYMENT - You will receive three quotation: (1) One with the order overview; (2) The 60% down payment quote and as your bike kit is ready for payment you will receive the (3) Remaining payment quote. As you settle the first quote your bike kit order will be considered made. When your bike is ready for shipment you will be asked to settle the remaining amount quoted in the second quotation. As the second payment is made, your bike will be sent. Please note that a 2% SPLIT PAYMENT applies.
